Are you passionate about product management? Do you know someone who is? We're on the hunt for new members to join our board of directors and help shape the future of the Toronto Product Management Association.

We're currently seeking nominations for 2 Director-at-Large positions. Details of the roles are included below. If you know someone who's ready to dive in and make a difference, nominate them today!

Elections will take place during the Annual General Meeting on June 24, 2025.


General Expectations For Board Members

Board members are elected for a three (3) year term, with an estimated time commitment is 5-10 hours/month, depending on initiatives. The TPMA is focused on the growth of our community and enhancing the value we provide to our members. Expectations for new and existing directors are aligned with this mission.

  • Attendance: Participate in monthly board meetings (approximately 1 hour) and engage in other club activities such as new members' orientation and general meetings.
  • Accountability & Leadership: Take ownership of planning, delivery, and performance within your area or special projects. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving our initiatives forward.
  • Special Projects and Committees: Contribute your expertise and energy to special projects or board committees. These opportunities allow for deeper involvement and impact within the organization.
  • Role-specific Responsibilities: Each board role entails specific responsibilities and varying additional time commitments tailored to the role's demands.
  • Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with volunteers, ensuring clear communication and accountability for assigned tasks.

General Qualifications

Nominations for Directors of the TPMA must have the following qualifications to be eligible for approval by the Nominations Committee:

  • Currently or previously in a product management role or active involvement in the GTA Product Management community.
  • An active TPMA member in good standing at the time of election.
  • Able to serve on the Board of Directors without conflict of interest.
  • Satisfies the requirements for roles in the election.


Directors-at-Large (2)

Works on special projects and may fill in temporarily for other board roles when there is a short-term vacancy on the board or assist other directors as needed. This year we are looking for two Directors-at-Large.

Specifically we are looking for candidates with marketing experience/expertise and interest in taking over our Mentorship or Coaching programmes. We're also looking for support in our membership and events division.
