Founded in March 2001, the Toronto Product Management Association (TPMA) is a not-for-profit organization that facilitates learning, mentoring, and networking opportunities for product managers across Greater Toronto Area.

The role
As Volunteer Support Lead, you play a key role in managing the lifecycle of our volunteers, from their initial onboarding to their offboarding. You’ll ensure that all administrative and procedural steps are completed, contributing to a seamless volunteer experience. You’ll also play a key role in fostering community engagement and maintaining active, supportive relationships within our volunteer network. By overseeing communication, managing profiles and collaborating with the rest of our Volunteer Community Management team, you’ll help create a dynamic and efficient environment that supports volunteer success and satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes: Oversee all administrative steps associated with bringing volunteers on board and guiding them through their departure, ensuring all checklists are completed and processes are smooth and efficient.
- Coordinate volunteer communications: Handle essential communications, including welcome emails and updates, across various platforms such as Slack and LinkedIn, to keep volunteers informed and engaged.
- Manage and update volunteer profiles and channels: Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer profiles, manage Slack channels, and keep volunteer lists current to facilitate effective communication and organization.
- Manage monthly volunteer spotlights: Select and organize monthly volunteer spotlights, highlighting contributions and achievements to boost morale and recognize valuable efforts.
- Provide support and resources: Offer guidance and practical resources to volunteers to help them thrive in their roles, addressing any issues and enhancing their overall experience.
- Support Community Manager and Engagement Manager: Assist these managers with various tasks and projects as needed, contributing to the overall success of the volunteer program and community engagement efforts.
- Track and report on volunteer metrics: Monitor volunteer participation and engagement metrics, providing regular reports and insights to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for further engagement.
