Founded in March 2001, the Toronto Product Management Association (TPMA) is a not-for-profit organization that facilitates learning, mentoring, and networking opportunities for product managers across Greater Toronto Area.

Our mission

Helping product people in the Greater Toronto Area navigate the complexities of a career in product management and the challenges people experience as they start their product career, advance their product career, become a product leader and grow as a product leader.

The role

As Finance Lead, you play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our non-profit. You will be the backbone of our bookkeeping and financial planning efforts, maintaining accurate records and fostering smooth relationships with our vendors and stakeholders. By keeping our financial data organized and up-to-date, you’ll provide the clarity and stability needed to support our mission of empowering product professionals. Working closely with the Treasurer, you will manage day-to-day financial tasks, reconcile accounts, and ensure all organizational documentation is expertly maintained, contributing directly to the sustainable growth of our vibrant community.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented volunteer who is comfortable working with numbers. Whether you are a student, a career-changer, or an experienced professional looking to give back, if you have a keen eye for detail and want to support the operational backbone of the TPMA, we want to hear from you.

August ’26 – June ’27

Time commitments

On average 5–7 hours a month (some variability depending on financial cycles and organizational project needs).

What kind of content you'll oversee:

We’re looking for editors to cover a few different “themes”. Depending on what appeals to you most, or aligns most with your skills and experience, you could be the editor for monthly publications of one or more of the following Product Management themes:

  1. Product Rockstar Spotlight - The inspiring stories and turning points of the country’s most successful product professionals.
  2. Problem/Solution - How PMs of varying experience have solved problems in products & organizations.
  3. My AI Cheat Code - How PMs are using AI to build better, build smarter, and be better at their jobs.
  4. Recruiter Roundtable - Pithy thoughts, info, and advice from those who know the hiring landscape best.
  5. Think Pieces - Thought leadership, unique perspectives, and intelligent takes from the community’s brightest.
