Social Media Scheduler / Content Creator
Founded in March 2001, the Toronto Product Management Association (TPMA) is a not-for-profit organization that facilitates learning, mentoring, and networking opportunities for product managers across Greater Toronto Area.
Our mission
Helping product people in the Greater Toronto Area navigate the complexities of a career in product management and the challenges people experience as they start their product career, advance their product career, become a product leader and grow as a product leader.
The role
We’re looking for a volunteer to help us grow TPMA’s presence on LinkedIn and X (Twitter). This role is perfect for someone who enjoys writing, editing, and planning social media content. You’ll take program updates and posts provided by program coordinators (events, workshops, mentorship, community, volunteer, etc) and schedule them on our social media platforms and make them engaging, well-timed, and visually appealing.
Term
October ‘25 - August ‘26
Time commitments
~2–3 hours per week (flexible, remote). Some weeks may be busier when multiple events are happening.
What you’ll do:
- Schedule program and event posts across TPMA’s LinkedIn and X accounts
- Edit, expand, and improve drafts from program leads to make posts clear, engaging, and on-brand
- Choose photos, graphics, or other visuals to strengthen each post
- Maintain and organize our social media image library (event photos, stock images, graphics)
- Create a simple weekly posting plan to keep our channels active and balanced
- Post event highlights, speaker spotlights, reminders, and follow-ups in line with TPMA’s seasonal content themes
- Work closely with program coordinators and the marketing team
What you'll gain:
- Free membership and access to TPMA in-person events (excludes workshops).
- Opportunity to work directly with and get mentorship from the experienced Product Leaders on the TPMA Board of Director
- Build your personal and professional brand with a very wide reach through networking
- Directly contribute to a growing community of Product Managers in Toronto, 3rd Largest Tech Hub in North America
- Invest in the ability to build a strong team and nurture relationships with a broad group of stakeholders, which is essential for Product Leadership roles in the future.
