Founded in March 2001, the Toronto Product Management Association (TPMA) is a not-for-profit organization that facilitates learning, mentoring, and networking opportunities for product managers across Greater Toronto Area.

The role
As an Event Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring our monthly in-person events run smoothly and are fully staffed with volunteers. You will be working closely with the TPMA Events Officer to identify volunteer needs for each event. You will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of volunteer coordination simultaneously.

On average, 1-2 hours every month
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with Events Officer to determine the volunteer needs for each event
- Select and assign volunteers from our active in-person event volunteer list for various roles based on the event requirements
- Onboard volunteers and conduct training sessions to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their roles, including event-specific procedures and expectations
- Provide ongoing event support to volunteers, ensuring they have the information and resources they need to succeed
- Serve as the main point of contact for volunteers before, during, and after events, answering questions and addressing any concerns
- Maintain clear and effective communication with volunteers and events team, keeping them informed about event details and changes
- Gather feedback from volunteers to assess their experience and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure volunteer participation is communicated back to the Volunteer Community Management team, and collaborate to identify if additional volunteers are required
